My four acceptances were:

I am slowly working my way towards my 'APS honours' when I can have some letters after my name!  LOL

End of Year Photography results

We attended the end of year presentation night for Port Adelaide Camera Club Incorporated last night and I got a few surprises!

I got a 'Merit' for the Club Aggregate Award (4th Place) and a 'Merit' (4th Place) for the Print POTY (Photograph of the Year)

Best part of the night for me though, was being presented with the Donna Hutchinson Memorial Award for my image 'Port Adelaide - A work of Art' for 1st Place in 'Our Port Adelaide' Print competition.

Donna was a well loved member of PACC and passed away quite unexpectedly in 2022. Here I am with Donna's partner, Mike ....... I like to think Donna would be happy for my win!

Feeling quite optimistic about embarking on my 14th year with PACC.

Camera Club Results - MLPC

In October, MLPC held their annual exhibition with a display of each member's favourite photos.

These photographs were judged by two Judges, and a Top Image was selected from each Member.

There was a total of 88 images from 11 members on display at The Mawson Centre, Mawson Lakes.

The judges' chose the following image as their 'Top Image'

Lorikeet Feeding Time

I confess, it is one of my faves too!   I love taking photos of birds; rainbow lorikeets in particular.

In November, MLPC held their final competition of the year.

Here are my best results for that one.

My best scores were:

Dusky Leaf Monkey - Scored 10 out of 10 - Distinction - 4th Place

Bye Bye Wang Wang - scored 9 out of 10 - Honour

I am particularly pleased with my 10 out of 10 - 4th Place in the Nature category.
One day, I hope to win the Nature Trophy ......

Dianne Davies Memorial Nature Trophy

Dianne Davies was a very popular and well-respected member of the Port Adelaide Camera Club from 2006 to 2016.

Dianne achieved many photographic accomplishments with the club, including winning the:

· Silver Club Trophy once;
· Gold Club Trophy 6 times;
· Nature Trophy 3 times;
· Photo of the Year Trophy in 2015; and
· Our Port Adelaide Trophy in 2016.

Dianne passed away in August 2016 after a battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

In 2017, the PACC Committee introduced a memorial trophy in her name. We are all that much richer for her enthusiastic and inspirational contribution.

Next PACC competition is 'Our Port Adelaide' another trophy subject, which I would love to win one day!

Feel free to visit the Port Adelaide Camera Club Facebook page to see all the winning images - there are some crackers in this collection!
