Photo Projects update

I am still working on the Photo Projects for 2022 ..... enthusiasm is a bit low at the moment, but I will see the year out.

We had a bit of a 'bokeh' workshop at my Mawson Lakes Photography Club where we had a bit of fun with lights.  One of the other members brought in these gorgeous Christmas ornaments for us to photograph.

It was a great night at the club - another night where the time just disappeared into the blink of an eye.

I think I will have to have a go at home and see what I can come up with.

Now into my garden.  

The Callistemon/Bottle Brush plant by my front window is blooming .... it seemed to burst into colour overnight.

My first ever Rice Salad

We had a lovely Christmas Day yesterday with family from Mr Fixit's side.

I volunteered to bring a salad and the host requested a rice salad.

I searched and searched for a salad recipe that did not have capsicum in it - so that I could eat it too ;-)

I found a lovely recipe on Best Recipes and this is out it turned out

Since Christmas Day was a Tuesday, this fits in nicely with my Tryout Tuesday theme ;-)

Tryout Tuesday

With Christmas preparations, Tryout Tuesday was a little late ;-)

I have always wanted to make the Mars Bar slice and I have tasted several different versions.  I am happy to say I like this one the best ;-)

The bowl is something I made whilst doing ceramics - I love bringing it out each year ;-)

I was so impressed with the photos presented for this challenge, I just had to have a go!

CCC#24 - the truffles looked delicious!

Boy, did I make a mess of the kitchen with this one!

it was a whole lot of fun (and stress!!) trying to pull these together -

here is what I posted on the forum:

EDITED: 24/12 - the truffles have been in the fridge for 24 hours and now seem to stay firm - I don't know why they took so long to firm up. I will pass on the SILs verdict either later this evening or tomorrow. My verdict is that they are OK, very fiddly to make. I am not really a sweet person, so I think I will stick to savoury things in the future. END QUOTE
I didn't even attempt the chocolate coated ones! I think I will leave this type of thing to the professional LOL
