2019 Photo Project Report Card

Well, here we are, the 4th day of 2020 and it is time for the 2019 report card.

in 2019, I participated in several photography related projects

I completed 34 (only 29%) of 119 photos in 2019 & completed 18 (35%) of 52 photos in 2019

Nature's Christmas Lights

Merry Christmas to all my followers!  I hope you get to spend all the time you want and need with all of the people you love and cherish!

Last night, Christmas Eve, I was sitting in the lounge at home exhausted but very happy to be spending time with family, and I happened to glance out of the window to catch a glimpse of the most brilliant colouring of the sky.  I grabbed the camera and got this shot.



I am so glad I noticed it when I did, as it lasted only a minute, then it was gone.

Thinking of all of the firies fighting the various fires that are devastating South Australia at the moment - Thank You!  I hope you eventually get to spend quality time with your families real soon!

Floral Friday - Magnificent Iris

Spring is in the air!

Went to the Adelaide Zoo this week - the animals were very quiet and most of the good ones (tigers & lions) stayed low sleeping or hidden.

So what's a girl supposed to do? 

take photos of some of the gorgeous plants & flowers and the birds flying free!

I got a new lens - a 35mm from a professional photographer friend - a case of being right place at the right time :)  I think I am going to enjoy playing with this lens LOL

My photo has been EXPLORED!  1st January 2017 woo hoo!!!

I was out and about today, catching up with some very dear friends.  We meet up at Lakeside Cafe - I can tell you I had the most yummy Banana Caramel Pie, the coffee was just perfect!

Alan and Irene - I have known Alan since about 1974,

so that makes him one of my oldest and dearest friends

A line across the sky

I was leaving the house late in the afternoon going to my Camera Club meeting and this is the sight that greeted me - I was very thankful I had my camera with me ;-)

I remember my Dad telling me when I was a kid that this was the 'mail run' going from one side of Australia to the other - I don't know if that is true, but every time I see it, I think "there goes the mail' ;-)
