Camera Club Competition Results - July

Another competition for PACC - this month the subjects were Nature and Open

The Nature category is very special category for Port Adelaide Camera Club.

Dianne Davies Memorial Nature Trophy

Dianne Davies was a very popular and well-respected member of the Port Adelaide Camera Club from 2006 to 2016.

Dianne achieved many photographic accomplishments with the club, including winning the:

· Silver Club Trophy once;
· Gold Club Trophy 6 times;
· Nature Trophy 3 times;
· Photo of the Year Trophy in 2015; and
· Our Port Adelaide Trophy in 2016.

Dianne passed away in August 2016 after a battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

In 2017, the PACC Committee introduced a memorial trophy in her name. We are all that much richer for her enthusiastic and inspirational contribution.

My best results for this month were:

The above image is my 'nod' to Dianne Davies, with love.

Super full moon shines on Adelaide

The Moon was particularly bright last night and I understand that it is the closest it will be to the earth for quite some time

here are some news stories

here are a few of my attempts to photograph the moon - not bad considering it is a 'point & shoot' Canon

I discovered when looking at these pics that I have 'hot pixels' so it is definitely time to replace the camera.
