Sunset Photos - the difference a few minutes make

I spied a beautiful sunset on 25th January 2012

It is incredible how quickly the scene changes in just a few minutes.

This time it will be an early evening walk down at Glenelg, on 4th February - I am so looking forward to this one ;-)

Project 2012 - The Learning Curve

I have been reading hints and tips on taking a good pic - one of them was 'move your feet' and another was 'get in close'

here is what a difference it makes

1st photo was sort of OK

2nd photo was what I was intending ;-)

And the rain came tumbling down

A storm just hit a short while ago, and this was the view from my front porch

I couldn't stay on the porch as the rain was starting to come in and wet the camera

10 out of 11 double yolkers - what are the odds?

We had egg on crumpets (Sunnysiders)  last night for tea - not the most elaborate of meals, but quick, easy and it doesn't heat the kitchen up ;-)

I have been counting the number of double yolk eggs in my most recent carton of eggs

10 out of the last 11 eggs have been double yolkers!

When I first noticed during the week, I was making some pasta carbonara and didn't take any photos ....... but this time, I grabbed the camera ;-)

Will the last egg be another double yolker?

No doubt, the photographic highlight of the year was receiving the Nikon D3100 as a surprise gift from the husband, and taking part in Scott Kelby's 4th Annual World Wide Photo Walk

I love taking photos of flowers .....

...... and of some of the food I cook ;-)
