Hi there, my friend Joy and I had so much fun last year at our PACC weekend away at Lake Bonney, we decided to go back again ...... when it was a bit warmer.
So on Monday, 7th November 2016 we returned - with plans to stay until Thursday.
Here are some pics from our trip
We always stop at Blanchetown for a stretch, coffee and pit-stop - there is always something to photograph there :)
Monday night, we had this beautiful sunset
then on Tuesday we went to Banrock Station Wetlands
We came across a lizard (goanna ??) trapped in a wire fence, so we called for the Park Ranger who came and got it out of the fence and took it to the Vet. Ofcourse, we took a few photos while we were waiting LOL We didn't venture too close to it, as we didn't want to scare it and hurt it any more than it was already :( thank goodness for zoom lenses!
then for lunch we returned to Lake Bonney had a picnic on the lake edge and watched some school children learn to ski :)
this is my friend Joy getting down low for that perfect shot!
Unfortunately, we had to come home a day early as I had an unexpected funeral to attend, but we stopped in at Blanchetown again on the way home.
the kookaburra was still there :)
It did the soul good to get away from it all - thank you Joy, for a great few days away :)
