Out and about

I was out and about today, catching up with some very dear friends.  We meet up at Lakeside Cafe - I can tell you I had the most yummy Banana Caramel Pie, the coffee was just perfect!

Alan and Irene - I have known Alan since about 1974,

so that makes him one of my oldest and dearest friends

A Day Out and About

We had a lovely weekend weatherwise here in Adelaide ;-)

We also went out to the Golden Grove Recreation and Arts Centre to check out the Model Railway Show.  Some very dear family friends had a display on at the show, and as we don't get to see them very often, we made the special effort to go check it out.

It was a great display and gave us both opportunity to try a different type of photography to what we were used to.

This is what greeted me as I walked outside to get the newspaper this morning

As much as I don't like Wasps, they are welcome to kill as many Huntsmen Spiders as they like ;-)
The wasp was desperately trying to get to the top of the wall and walk along the ceiling of the eaves, but kept falling down due to the weight of the spider - it looked like a lot of hard work.

PACC Snapathon 2013

The PACC had their annual Snapathon last Tuesday - sort of like a scavenger hunt, but with a camera.
It was still extremely hot, even at 7 pm, but it didn't put us off our game ;-)
