Tryout Tuesday

Well, Tryout Tuesday came around far too quickly for me this month ;-)

I have been busy with Wedding Cards, custom Birthday Invites and a custom birthday card this month, so Tryout Tuesday ended up on a Thursday ;-)

I had a craving for Choc Chip Cookies and wanted to try THIS recipe from http://www.taste.com.au/

It was very easy to mix up and I can see the basic mix being used in other combinations in the future ;-)

Somehow, I don't think these cookies will last very long - I have already had 4 as part of the stringent testing process ;-)  and will have another 2 with a cup of coffee a bit later this afternoon.

New Fountain Tomato Sauce - My Review

I am a regular visitor to www.taste.com.au - the people taking part in the forums are great, and the variety of recipes available is wonderful.

I recently had the opportunity to try the new Fountain Tomato Sauce with lower salt & sugar ;-)

First up I must declare that I have received this sample for free and that I am a diehard Heinz Big Red fan!

I had just recently discovered that tomato sauce had much more salt & sugar in it than I realised and this new sauce has 40% lower sugar 70% lower salt.

I must say I am impressed.  It has a slightly different flavour than other tomato sauces - lighter in taste and texture - and the one big bonus for me - it doesn't give me reflux ;-)

So I can have as much sauce as I like - and I like tomato sauce ;-)

Thank you Fountain, you have a new customer for your Tomato Sauce.

I already love your Sweet Chili Sauce and the Mustard Sauce.
