    Hi Cathy
    I too am an owner of the wonderful Nikon D3100, love it so much but do use it mainly on auto ..have booked into a photography course that is suppose to teach me the tricks of this camera. I get great photos from it on auto so am looking forward to seeing what I can achieve with it when I truely understand it.
